How do I enter the cookoff?

Contact Kelly Roark (kelly@iberiachamber.org | 337-364-1836) for all questions regarding registration for the Gumbo CookOff, Meanest Beans Competition, or Youth Gumbo CookOff. Registration requests are accepted year-round.

Event Cost:

The World Championship Gumbo Cookoff is FREE to the public. There is no gate fee, however tickets are available on site for food and drinks. Tickets cost $1 each.

Saturday: Booths set their own prices

Sunday: Seafood Gumbo = 5 tickets  ·  Other Gumbo = 4 tickets

 

When is the gumbo served?

Saturday: Youth Gumbo CookOff

Sunday: Professional and Amateur Gumbos served starting at 11:00am. 

 

Is the event kid-friendly?

Yes, our annual gumbo cookoff is open to all ages! We even have childrens' activities that will take place on both Saturday and Sunday.

 

Can I purchase merchandise (T-shirts, posters, etc.) before the event?

You sure can! We sell all of our merchandise at the Chamber Office year round (111 West Main Street). Upcoming event posters will be sold at that year's event.

 

Can I bring my dog? Can I bring an ice chest?

We ask that you please leave your furry friends and ice chests at home.

 

Can I use my credit card to purchase tickets?

Yes, you can use your credit card to purchase tickets at the ticket booths. We accept all major credit cards.

 

Will there be an ATM on-site?

Yes, we will have an ATM on-site.

 

Are there bathrooms on-site?

Yes, we have air conditioned bathrooms on-site for the entire weekend.
