New Iberia’s Church Alley Café & Bistro to Open Friday

After weeks of anticipation since announcing their arrival in New Iberia, Church Alley Café & Bistro is set to mark their grand opening with a ribbon cutting this Friday, January 7th, at 10am. The event will be hosted by the Greater Iberia Chamber of Commerce and will feature a tour of the facility and exclusive tasting of the first cups of their featured coffee!

This family-owned business was born out of a love for community. Co-owner Mark Delahoussaye was born and raised in New Iberia, and saw the opportunity to start a locally-owned coffee shop right here in his home town. It’s located in the landmark Church Alley between St. Peter’s Church and the Pocket Park on New Iberia’s historic Main Street. The menu will feature delicious roasts, espresso, and a variety of food options. But the real magic is in the beans, which are sourced from Rêve, an Acadiana business.

“We are shocked at just how much enthusiasm Church Alley Café & Bistro is experiencing. New Iberia is deserving of a locally-owned coffee shop where you can come in, relax, get coffee made just how you want, and enjoy the atmosphere. New Iberia wants this, it’s ready for it, and we’re excited to bring it,” report owners Mark and Nicole Delahoussaye.
